The School District of Mishicot is the latest to join our Prepared Schools Initiative, providing every K-12 classroom with citizenAID’s Public Treatment Kits and through a grant from the Northeast Wisconsin Regional Trauma Advisory Council will be giving citizenAID online classes to all staff members.
We will be matching those classes with a donation back to the district to make sure all staff are trained. The district is also installing wall-mounted citizenAID trauma stations in common areas of all school buildings. Mishicot Schools Superintendent Paul Orlich released the following statement:
“We are deeply committed to the safety and security of all students and staff in our buildings each day. We feel that it is imperative that our staff know exactly what to do to care for the well-being of each child in the unlikely event of a crisis on school grounds. The citizenAID partnership gives our staff knowledge and tools that were not available to us prior to now”
