All 41 School buildings in the Green Bay Area Public School District will be outfitted with citizenAID Bleeding Control Kits and more than 3,000 faculty and staff will be offered free training in their use.
Through the Wisconsin School Safety Initiative Grant each school will be equipped with citizenAID Wall Stations that will house eight (8) bleeding control kits in each one. All District staff have been provided free access to the Educators, School Admin, and Coaches one (1) hour online training course which was provided by the Northeast Wisconsin Regional Trauma Advisory Council so they know how to react in times of crises. Half of these trainings were donated through a corporate match from us at citizenAID. All members of the community also have the ability to download the free citizenAID app on their phones to guide them through emergency care and safety procedures.
NEWRTAC Coordinator Dave Taylor released the following statement:
“We take the safety and security of our community very seriously, and we believe being prepared can make all the difference. There is a pressing need to equip our teachers and administrators with the knowledge and equipment required to act quickly and efficiently in moments of crisis. This partnership with citizenAID will make our schools and communities safer.”
